Provost's Remarks

Now that you are officially Hoyas on the Hilltop, be warmly welcomed in an afternoon address from Provost Bob Groves. 

To make things less of a headache and more of a convenient experience, the Office of the Provost is coordinating free - and stress-free - parking on campus on Tuesday, August 23 and Thursday, August 25 . Attendees of #GeorgetownNFO2016 will be allowed to park free of charge in the Southwest Garage, located across from the Harbin Field and adjacent to Leo O'Donovan Dining Hall. Access to the parking garage can be found from the Canal Road entrance of the University.


On Wednesday August 24, NFO activities and sessions will take place at The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown (3100 South St. NW, Washington, DC 20007). Complimentary valet parking will be available - just notify the parking attendant that you are attending Georgetown University's New Faculty Orientation and the rest is handled! 

We also suggest that attendees, who are not using their personal vehicles, use commuter/public transportation options, such as Uber, Lyft and/or other taxi services. If you decide to travel to NFO using this option on Wednesday August 24, please retain all of your transportation receipts. Following NFO, we will coordinate with attendees to ensure monetary reimbursement is processed and completed for such travel expenses.
